We have done several projects with Nuvision. They are always the very best. Responsive, friendly, great attention to detail, and they don't break the bank! Working with Tomio is always a treat. Good contractors are so hard to find.
We are thrilled to have worked with Nuvision on our kitchen and bath remodel. Throughout the entire process — from writing and re-writing the estimate proposal, to demo, to construction, to the finishing touches — Tomio guided us with professionalism, patience and attention to detail. We have a huge amount of respect for Tomio and how he runs his business. Things ran smoothly 90% of the time, and when inevitably things did not (mostly due to things out of his control), Tomio communicated early and often. We always knew where we stood and when things would get done next.
Additionally, Tomio's crew is a talented group of tradespeople that built a beautiful updated space that we spend most of our time in! Because of Tomio's direction, the kitchen and bathrooms are exactly to design, down to even the smallest details that only Tomio would notice (ex: how light shines through clear caulk in the shower). Also critical, Tomio ensured our house was move-in ready on time, by the agreed upon date. We would work with Tomio again on any future projects, big or small, if he'll take us. We'd highly recommend considering Nuvision for your next project!
Nuvision construction is great to work with! We have worked with them on multiple projects. Tomio does a great job and really cares about his customers, projects, and team. He is very detail oriented and very fair.

This review is long overdue! We worked with Nuvision on a home remodel and expansion in 2019 after a glowing recommendation from a neighbor. Tomio and his team work harder than anyone I have seen. Have you ever gone by a construction site and everyone is just sitting around? I never saw that with Tomio and his team. These guys are always moving at lightning speed. He was amazing to work with. Don't be fooled by those big construction conglomerates and their "large" teams! We have family that went with one of those companies against our advice and they have regretted it and they wish they went with Nuvision!
Tomio's attention to detail is incredible. Our project was an expansion and remodel of the living area and adding a deck. In our case, that meant we had to move the electrical box to a new location. When Tomio started looking at the wiring the previous contractor had done about 5 years earlier, he couldn't stand it. He said it was a mess under the house, too many connections. Technically it was up to code but he just didn't like the mess of wire and he wanted to redo it, so he did at no charge to us. How many people in this industry still do that kind of thing? It seems everyone just wants to do the bare minimum to get paid these days, but not Tomio. He is one of the few out there who insists on doing it right whatever it takes.
I am also a bit of a DIYer so I "helped" Tomio on occasion by doing some things myself that I wanted to do during construction, like installing attic stairs and doing some low voltage work with his guidance. I know I was probably getting in the way but Tomio was always patient and offered great advice on how to do it correctly and to code. The finished space was impeccable and we were very happy. Anyone with a little OCD will appreciate the wiring picture — it shows how Tomio and team pay attention to the tiniest details! That electrical panel was eventually covered and no one would ever see the detail under it, but knowing he did that kind of work everywhere, whether it was visible or not, was comforting as a homeowner. Go with Nuvision, you will not regret it!
Working with Nuvision was an absolute pleasure! From the beginning to the end, they were communicative and professional. Tomio took a short time to calculate a quote, and he stuck to it.
We had most of our house remodeled, with emphasis on the guest bathroom and kitchen. They paid extreme attention to detail, including fixing things that were outside of the scope of the project! Tomio told me that he was irritated by the gas lines. He said, "I like it better when gas lines are run parallel to each other, and only make 90 degree turns. So I'm just going to redo all of that." This is exactly what you want in your contractor!
They worked every single day and we could see fast progress. If we ever dropped by the house, Tomio would stop what he was doing to go over the progress and make sure we were happy. We were always very happy. Their billing system was easy and clear. And we were never overcharged. Two things that really state how much I enjoyed working with them: 1) I am planning on doing another project with them. 2) Tomio received one of our holiday cards. I recommend them extremely highly!
We had Nuvision do a substantial remodel on our walls and kitchen, as well as installing a new shower where a closet used to be. The entire crew was friendly, knowledgeable and had a knack for the work (good finishing touches and craftsmanship). They were also very conscientious. We were living there through the construction and they made me a little bubble around the TV and our bedroom. It was cozy.
They ended up having to do a bit more electrical work than originally intended and it was very easy to work through it with them. In the end they did much better work than an electrician I had hired earlier. They understood Sunnyvale code and caught a few things the previous guy missed. We've recommended them extensively and brought them back since for a couple of smaller jobs. Every time was a good experience and the cost was super reasonable.
Tomio Izumi and Nuvision are the best! I had the pleasure of working with Tomio when I had electrical issues. He came out and knew exactly where the problem was. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Also, he is honest and overall a great guy to work with. I highly recommend him and his outstanding services.
