Built in Mountain View, by a family that has lived here since the mid-1950s.
Bathroom and kitchen remodels, whole-home renovations, additions, ADUs and new homes. From a single bathroom to the whole house, one accountable builder who lives in the city he builds in.
Our neighbors' homes are our own neighborhood.
Tomio Izumi's grandparents moved to California from Hawaii in the mid-1950s and bought their first and only home in Mountain View. His grandfather spent his career as a union carpenter, helping build local landmarks like the Palo Alto Bowl.
Today Tomio and his family are raising three kids in the same city. The crews that work on your house are the same crews that work on his neighbors' houses, and the builder you call is the one who answers.
From a single bathroom to the whole house
Mountain View homes range from Eichlers and ranch houses of the 1950s to two-story rebuilds. We work on all of them, at whatever size the project is.
One bathroom, one kitchen
A hall bath, a primary bath, a kitchen. Priced line by line before demolition, tiled and trimmed by our own crew, and finished on the date we gave you.
Whole-home remodels and additions
Down-to-the-studs renovations, opened-up floor plans, family-room and bedroom additions and second stories that still read as one house.
ADUs and new homes
Detached ADUs, garage conversions, teardown-rebuilds and ground-up custom homes, working from your architect's plans.
We know what the city asks of a project, because we build here every week.
- Energy and electrification rules — Mountain View's reach code and Title 24 shape the mechanical, water-heating and electrical choices on remodels and new construction. We price and build to them from the first proposal.
- Eichlers and mid-century houses — slab floors, radiant heat, post-and-beam roofs and single-pane glass each change how a remodel is sequenced. We have opened up more than a few of them.
- Living in the house while we work — containment, daily cleanup and a schedule you can see week by week.
- One quote that holds — detailed, line-item proposals before demolition, and changes priced in writing before they happen.
"Tomio communicated early and often. We always knew where we stood and when things would get done next. Tomio ensured our house was move-in ready on time, by the agreed upon date."
"Responsive, friendly, great attention to detail, and they don't break the bank! Working with Tomio is always a treat."
